Toddler Time at the Library: Toddler time at the Elma Ross Public Library will be held Monday June 1 and 15, at 11 a.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their toddlers and enjoy lots of stories, songs, puppets, crafts and a snack. Lunch 'N Learn at the Library: Lunch and Learn is planned for Wednesday, June 24, at noon at the Elma Ross Public Library. Each month promises an interesting speaker and an opportunity to learn something new. Remember to bring your lunch and the library will provide your drink and dessert. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4838: Monthly meeting of veterans who have fought in foreign wars to conduct business and plan for future events that involve veterans or veteran's programs. Relay for Life: The annual Relay for Life event will be held Friday, June 12, at the Football field beginning at 5 p.m. The event will feature the Survivor Walk, Luminary Ceremony, live entertainment. March of Dimes Golf Tournament: The 11th Annual March of Dimes 4-Man Scramble Gold Tournament will be held Thursday, June 4, at the Brownsville Country Club. Ribbon Cutting: Lytle Computers welcomes everyone to their new location, 10 South Monroe, beside EW James, Wednesday, June 10 at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to come check out the new location and help celebrate the Ribbon Cutting. Boomerang Express: Children 3 yrs. through the 6th grade are invited to participate in Holly Grove Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School June 8-12, from 9 am. until noon each day. This year's theme is "Boomerang Express: It All Comes Back to Jesus." Parents are welcome to come and pre-register their children during "Down Under Days" on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. There will be games, prizes and lunch. On Friday, June 12, at 7 p.m., the children will present a short program for parents. Brownsville Country Club Invitational: The Brownsville Country Club will host a 2-day golf event June 13 & 14 beginning at 8 a.m. This is an individual medal play with number of flights depending on number of entries. The cost is $30 with order and the 8-pound butts can be picked up wrapped and ready to go, right off the smoker on Thursday, July 2nd from 5PM to 6PM at the WOW building parking lot.
