“Courthouse Christmas”

Christmas Tree Decorating Contest

We are inviting everyone to join us in celebrating the Christmas Holidays in Brownsville by decorating a tree and placing it on the Haywood County Courthouse lawn. It will be a wonderful sight for residents and visitors to see!

Contest Rules:

1. There are two categories: Schools and All Other.

2. Trees may either be live or artificial, and they must be secured safely when they are placed on the courthouse lawn.

3. Decorations may be varied and original, but they must all be weather-proof, and lights are not allowed.

4. All entries must be tasteful and festive, and the chamber reserves the right to not allow an entry if it does not meet these standards.

Entry forms must be filled out and taken or faxed to the chamber office by December 5, 121 West Main Street, phone: 772-2193; fax: 772-2195. Trees must be on the square by December 7. They will be judged on December 8, and winners will be announced Monday morning.

Chamber Bucks, that can be spent at any local member business, will be awarded to the three winning entries in each category: 1^st place - $100, 2^nd place - $50, and 3^rd place, $25.
