What could be better, or more Southern, than good ole
catfish and the smooth, sweet sound of the Blues?
For a taste of both, join bluesman David Lee Durham and
his True Blues Band Saturday, February 9, at the Brownsville Country Club for
“Catfish & the Blues.”
Durham, who is from Clarksdale, Miss., is known for his
primitive blues sound and has performed with legends such as Clarence Carter,
Mavis Staples, Bobby Rush, Bobby “Blue” Bland and Ray Charles. He has also
opened for B. B. King on more than 25 occasions. A local favorite, Durham is
also known internationally for his musical talents.
This night of entertainment is sure to be fun for all.
Beginning at 6 p.m., enjoy a Southern classic - catfish with all the trimmings,
followed by the authentic blues sound of David Lee Durham and the True Blues
Band at 7:30 p.m.
