Haywood Park Community Hospital Announces Leadership
Change
Haywood Park Community Hospital (HPCH) Chief Executive
Officer, Kim Anthony, announced Friday, September 12, 2008, that she will be
leaving after nearly two years as CEO. Anthony has made the decision to
accept a position with another healthcare provider.
“It’s with mixed emotions that I step down as CEO,” said
Anthony. “Although I’m grateful for the opportunity that lies ahead, there is
also sadness as I leave behind a talented team. It has been a pleasure and
privilege to lead Haywood Park Community Hospital. This hospital is a strong
organization with dedicated board members, staff and physicians. I am proud of
what we have accomplished over the last couple of years.”
“Kim has played a valuable role for the hospital and has
worked hard to build a strong healthcare organization in this community,” said
Andrea Johnson, chairperson of the HPCH board of trustees. “We’re sorry she
will be leaving us, but understand the additional professional opportunities
ahead of her.”
A search for a new chief executive is underway; board and medical
staff members will be involved in the identification of a new administrator.
Beginning September 15, Steve Grubbs, currently Chief Executive Officer at
Regional Hospital of Jackson, will assume additional leadership
responsibilities at Haywood Park until a new CEO is appointed.
