Haywood Park Community Hospital Announces New CEO

 

Haywood Park Community Hospital (HPCH), Brownsville, Tenn., announced September 29, 2008, that David Rasmussen has been appointed chief executive officer and will begin his new position effective immediately. Rasmussen replaces Kim Anthony who accepted a position with another company.

 

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join the dedicated employees and medical staff at Haywood Park Community Hospital,” said Rasmussen.  “I look forward to building on their prior accomplishments and being a part of many future successes as well as an integral part of the Brownsville community.”

 

Rasmussen brings more than 20 years of healthcare and management experience to HPCH. Most recently, he served as CEO at McKenzie Regional Hospital. During his three years there, the hospital added new equipment to the lab, improved patient satisfaction scores in the emergency department and inpatient areas, and increased clinical quality scores.

Prior to his position with McKenzie Regional Hospital, Rasmussen served as CEO for 11 years at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital.  Additionally, he is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

 

Rasmussen graduated with a Masters degree in Health Service Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  He and his wife, Debbie, have four children.
