Brownsville plans two weekend shopping events in November

Those making their list and checking it twice will be glad to hear about two special shopping events planned for Brownsville, Tenn. Both in November, Holiday Open House and Holiday in Haywood will give shoppers an opportunity to fill their holiday gift needs early.

Get a preview of all that local merchants are offering during the annual Holiday Open House planned for Sunday, Nov. 2. Participating Brownsville merchants will be putting on their holiday finery and opening their doors from 1 to 4 p.m. Shoppers who visit each of the participating businesses will have an extra opportunity to save that day and be eligible for a grand prize drawing.

New this year is “Holiday in Haywood.” This market-type event will take place Nov. 14-16, at the National Guard Armory on Morgan St. Over 20 merchants and specialty vendors will be under one roof to offer a variety of items perfect for your holiday gift giving. Doors will open Friday evening from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and again on Sunday from 1-4 p.m., giving shoppers plenty of time to make their choices. Santa will make a special appearance on Saturday to give the children a chance to visit and have their picture taken.
