Businesses invited to participate during State of the Schools Celebration

Haywood County Schools is planning a business fair to coincide with the annual State of the Schools Celebration. This day of in-service and celebration will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, beginning at 8:30 a.m., on the Haywood High School campus.  The entire staff of the school system will be present, and the celebration is open to the public.


Businesses are invited to participate in the system's first Business Fair. This will be an excellent opportunity for businesses to promote shopping locally. Participants are asked to set up booths in the hallways at Haywood High School highlighting their products and services to the community. Space is limited and must be reserved in advance.

The following guidelines apply:

  1. Booths will be assigned in the order that the reservations are received.
  2. Set up times are available on Tuesday, August 4, at HHS from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., or on Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m.  Booths must be ready by 7:30 a.m., on Wednesday morning.
  3. Space for setting up is limited.  Please call Art Garrett if you have questions or concerns about space limitations..
  4. Businesses and organizations are responsible for everything they will need (tables, chairs, etc.)
  5. No electricity will be provided.
  6. No sales are allowed.
  7. Door prizes are encouraged.
  8. Superintendent Marlon King and his staff reserve the right to accept only those businesses they deem as appropriate.
