New Leadership at Haywood Park Community Hospital has
raised $5,100 for United Way. The hospital, in a show of community support
returned to running an annual campaign to support the 15 United Way partner
agencies in Haywood County.
“How can we ask for support from our community if we don’t
support the community ourselves?” said John Kight. This philosophy was echoed
in the new leadership directive, and was instituted by the campaign
coordinators, John Kight and Phyllis Cozart.
“It is exactly this attitude that strengthens the bonds in
our community,” said Diana Tate, county campaign chair. “It is about looking
out for each other and sometimes paying it forward. I am proud of Haywood Park
Community Hospital and the amazing campaign they ran this year.”
