UT Extension offers free diabetes management class
Dining with Diabetes is coming to Haywood County! This four-session
class teaches diabetics (and their caretakers) about disease management through
meal planning.
Each session will include information from a registered
dietician and plenty of recipe sampling from UT Extension. The sessions will
run from 5:30 to 7:30 on Tuesday evenings, beginning April 18.
Classes are provided at no charge to the participants
through the Delta Rural Health Initiative, administered through Le Bonheur
Community Outreach.
All participants will receive free health screenings as
part of the program.
