Hunter’s Handbook TV Series Produced in Brownsville
Hunter’s Handbook TV series is an extension of Hunter’s
Handbook, the official student publication of the International Hunter
Education Association, and both are published and produced by Brownsville’s John Gallaspy.
The majority of the TV show filming is done in the Hatchie Bottoms and has begun its
third season airing nationally on Outdoor Life Network.
The show is an educational hunting and hunting safety
series sponsored by Safari Club International and the International Hunter
Education Association. Each episode features “how-to” instruction on everything
from tree stands, boating safety for waterfowlers, handgun hunting, game
calling, camouflage, marksmanship and much more. Experts from the various
hunting disciplines visit with Gallaspy, who also hosts the show, to share
their skills and expertise.
Hunter’s Handbook TV can be viewed locally each Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., and Sunday at 6:30 a.m., now through December on Outdoor Life Network, local cable channel 151.
