Southwest Tennessee Electric to Host Annual Member’s Meeting August 11
Jack Fox, President of Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation, announces that the 69th Annual Members Meeting will be held Friday night, August 11, at College Hill/Ann Marks Performing Arts Center in Brownsville, Tennessee. Southwest Tennessee Electric members can register from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Board Chairman Allan Ferguson of Hardeman County will preside at the business meeting. During the meeting, the results of this year’s election of directors will be announced. Four director positions are up for election by the membership. Members will have an opportunity to hear and approve the report of the Cooperative’s officers, President, and any other business that might be brought to the floor.
As an owner, the member’s voice is extremely important to the future of the electric cooperative. Ballots were mailed to each member on July 21. Members are asked to vote and mail the ballot back early. All voting is conducted by mail and must be received in Brownsville by noon, August 8. Cooperative members serving on the Credentials and Election Committee will count all returned ballots.
Entertainment will be provided by Renewed Gospel Ministries.
Southwest Tennessee Electric members registering at the meeting are eligible for the drawing of over 50 attendance prizes. To speed up registering, members are asked to bring a copy of their previous electric bill. Free hot dogs, chips, cold drinks, and dessert will be available.
