MSHFN’s Wilson Releases New Book Of Columns

Taylor Wilson, managing editor of Mid-South Hunting and Fishing News (MSHFN) and Bill Dance Publishing, Inc., will release his second book of columns in November 2006.

“Still Stepping In Stuff: A Return to Backwater & Briars” is a collection of outdoor columns that Wilson has written for MSHFN, ESPN/Outdoors and various other magazines and newspapers.

His first book of columns, “Backwater, Briars & Other Things I’ve Stepped In” was published when Wilson worked as the outdoors reporter for the daily newspaper, The Jackson (Tenn.) Sun.

The new book is filled with hunting and fishing tales about wild critters and the folks that love to chase and catch them.

“Taylor understands the outdoors and has a gift for sharing it with his audience,” wrote Dan Morris, Wilson’s former editor at The Sun. “I like his personal columns the best—when he takes us on his first hunting trip, tells us about dogs he has known or paints the beauty of a sunrise as he views it from his duck blind.”

Fellow outdoor writer and author Keith Sutton is also pleased with the publication of Wilson’s latest collection of columns.

“The words he (Wilson) puts on paper have the same wondrous ring to them as a story told ’round a campfire,” Sutton said. “His stories are magical and unforgettable and insightful all at once.”

Readers can place advance orders for Wilson’s book by sending a $15 check or money order to: Taylor Wilson, SSIS Book, 2521 Key Corner Road, Brownsville, Tenn. 38012. Tennessee residents should add $1.46 sales tax.
