Volume 2, Issue 39 - Supplement

Just wanted to take a minute to give you a quick reminder about a few things.

Field of Flags: Friday is the cutoff date for ordering your flag to be placed in the Field of Flags. Order forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce, from any Exchange Club member or go here to learn more and print one. Be sure to return them by Friday. Cost is $25 and you get to keep your flag, the placard and the hardware for displaying it in your yard. Call the chamber, 772-2193 for more information.

Scarecrow Contest: I’m sure you’ve noticed all the scarecrows going up on the courthouse lawn and because so many are still calling about entering, the Master Gardeners have extended the deadline for entering until Friday at noon. Entry forms are available at the Extension office, 100 S. Wilson, online at www.haywoodmastergardeners.com, or call 780-5144. Your scarecrow must be on the courthouse lawn and ready to be judged by 5 p.m., Saturday, October 14.

Hatchie Fall Fest T-shirts: Orders are now being accepted for Hatchie Fall Fest T-shirts. T-shirts will be $12 on the day of the festival; you can get your order in now and pay only $10 per shirt. Order online or call 780-5144. Very few shirts were left on festival day last year, pre-ordering will reserve yours and save money, too.

Talk to you again on Friday.
