Recipe of the Week: Strawberry-Banana Smoothie Whew, it’s been a busy week. And on top of
all the usual stuff, we’ve decided to buy a new house. Although the decision
was a big one, it pales in comparison to thinking about getting one ready to
sell. I know we all wonder how we collect so much stuff, but I can’t get over
packing 12 boxes so far, out of one 6x10 room, and still not make a dent in
it. I probably have more in that little Butler’s Pantry (aka: my office) than
any room in the entire house. I’ve come to the conclusion that once I’m
through with it, the rest of the house will be a breeze. So, if you are
interested in buying a circa 1912 Bungalow on one of the prettiest and most
historic streets in Brownsville, give me a call. Lots of Relay fundraisers still going on. Today
is the last day to order a fully-cooked Boston Butt for the Memorial Day
holiday - call Haywood Helping Hands at 772-3690. Saturday you can pick up a
sack lunch at First State Insurance on the square, then go down to the main
fire station and get your car washed. Before you leave there, pick up a
couple plates for supper. The firemen will be grilling until 4 p.m. Two meals
and your car washed all in one day and without you lifting a finger (except
to eat), plus you’ll help raise money for a very worthy cause. All proceeds
from all three sales go to Relay for Life. ~ Sonia |
