Brownsville & Haywood County March 14, 2008 Volume
4, Issue 10 |
|
The Brownsville Police Department wants to remind everyone to
celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend responsibly. There will be sobriety
checkpoints this weekend. The statistical facts are very sobering (pun
intended), read more about it. The Wednesday Morning Musicale is celebrating 100 years of the
performing arts in Brownsville and Haywood County. They are commemorating
this anniversary with a concert series. The first one is scheduled for April
6. The theme is “Come Home for Our 100th!” Don’t forget to take some healthy non-perishable food items by
Curves of Brownsville on South Dupree. Let’s help them reach their goal of
2,000 lbs. of food to donate to our local food banks. A few weeks back I promised more info about an upcoming beauty
pageant. Well, here it is. The Miss Hatchie pageant will be held April 26 at
the Ann Marks Performing Arts Center. Crestview Healthcare and Rehab is
sponsoring this event and all proceeds will benefit Relay for Life. The
pageant is open to boys, up to 9 years, and girls, up to 21 years. Learn more
and download the Miss Hatchie entry form. ~ Sonia Share your upcoming 2008 events |
