Connected Tennessee is coming to Brownsville Tuesday, April 1. If you’ve read the article posted on the AAB News page, you already know what this will mean for Haywood County. Connected Tennessee is an independent non-profit organization that works to make “the cost of technology expansion go down and the ease of doing business go up.” What it can do for Haywood County is help make broadband affordable and available to the entire county. This availability would be a great economic boost to Haywood County. Mayor Smith is encouraging everyone to attend the community meeting to learn more about what we can all do to begin the process to make this happen. The meeting is at the Southwest Tennessee Electric community room Tuesday, April 1, at 5:30 p.m. Christie, an AAB reader, has been researching a program that distributes expired coupons to the military. It seems that military families can still use coupons up to 6 months after they expire. Christie wants to know if you are interested in donating coupons to this cause. If enough AAB readers are interested, she would like to head up the effort. So, if you have expired coupons you can donate, or are willing to just clip coupons for this cause, e-mail me and I’ll put you in touch with Christie. Don’t forget season tickets are
available for the upcoming Wednesday Morning Musicale’s 100th
Anniversary Concert Series. Contact Jo Matherne, 779-1117, for more
information. First concert is April 6. Happy Easter!! ~ Sonia Share your upcoming 2008 events |
