It has been a busy week - but a good one. Don't know
what today's weather will bring; just hope it doesn't get too bad. Stay safe
on the roads, especially if we get all that ice 'they' are talking about
later. If you are a Sleepy John Estes fan, you'll be happy to know that Sleepy John CDs will be available soon at the Heritage Center. And, if you're looking for something special for your sweetheart, think about visiting the gift shop for some handcrafted items. I still have tickets to the Valentine's Ball on February
12 at the National Guard Armory. Give me a call. Just $20 and proceeds
benefit Relay for Life. I don't usually mention politics and to be perfectly
honest am not usually as interested in state politics, but after meeting Bill
Gibbons yesterday and after listening to him speak for a few minutes, I
realized that I need to pay a lot more attention to this year's state
campaign. We always feel the effects of the local elections, but I think this
year's state election will have a pretty dramatic impact on us, too. I simply
ask you to educate yourself about ALL the candidates, and the issues, so you
can make an informed decision come Election Day. Don't forget Brownsville Homecoming III, this Saturday,
7 p.m., at Ann Mark's Performing Arts Center. Brownsville's best will be
performing your favorite gospel songs. More about it below. Hatchie Fall Fest committee will be meeting soon. If
you'd like to be on the planning board for this event, please call or e-mail
me. I will be out of town some next week and unable to send
All About Brownsville. Your next newsletter will arrive on Thursday, February
11. Check the website for updates in the
meantime. ~ Sonia Join the Conversation: AAB Blog |
