Today is the last day to vote early. Do so before 1 p.m.
at the courthouse. Election day is Tuesday, June 15. We'll know sometime
Tuesday night who our next Mayor of Brownsville is. Tonight's NRA Banquet is a big deal and you haven't
gotten your tickets yet, call one of the gentlemen listed below and I'm sure
they will try to work you in. We've all been following the progress of Dustin Milton. Dustin is 12 and was suddenly struck with paralysis while vacationing several weeks ago. Although I'm not sure if the exact cause has been found, Dustin is showing progress and hopefully will be able to make a full recovery. In the meantime several fundraisers are being planned to help with medical expenses and Dustin's needs. The first one I know about is a lunch tomorrow at Haywood Park Community Hospital. As you hear about these events, please plan to attend and help with this cause. Planning for the Hatchie Fall Fest is well underway and some
of our vendor spots are beginning to fill up. If you are an arts and craft,
it's time to get your application in and ensure a prime spot at the festival.
Go to www.hatchiefallfest.com to download an application. I'm excited about the Heritage Center's first concert
planned for next Saturday, June 19. It'll take place on the porch of the
Sleepy John Estes house and promises to be very entertaining. Both David and
George put on a great show. I hope you will pack a picnic or visit one of our
surrounding restaurants, bring a lawn chair and enjoy. The museums will be
open, too. Perfect family outing and the best part - it's free. So check out the calendar and other events happening
this week and I'll see you next Saturday night! ~ Sonia Join the Conversation: AAB Blog |
