To send me your suggestions, comments or e-mail me news items, please use one of the options below. I look forward to hearing from you. Mail to: Phone: E-mail: All About Brownsville (AAB) began as an e-mail newsletter. The first issue was e-mailed on October 21, 2005, to only a few people in my personal address book. The response was overwhelming. Friends forwarded to their friends and the list of subscribers grew. With so much going on in our community, it was hard to remember it all. Many people started telling me they would have forgotten about events, if not for AAB. I immediately started thinking about a website and providing not only a weekly calendar, but a yearly look at upcoming events and other important dates relevant to our community. By December 2005, I had launched the AAB website. Along with a calendar, I also began to provide a page for local news news to brag about and the Brownsville/Haywood County Humane Society provides Pet Spotlights of local shelter animals who are ready for adoption. The Business & Service Directory is full of links to local business sites and continues to expand. A local coupon page was added in mid-2006. Over the years, AAB has grown to include a lot more than I could have ever imagined. In early 2006, AAB became the official home for the Hatchie Fall Fest site and the Haywood County Reading Railroad. When the Brownsville Business Association was formed in 2006, I quickly volunteered AAB as host for its site, too. Over the years AAB has undergone a few format changes, but the content remains dedicated to the citizens of Brownsville and Haywood County. And the e-newsletter has remained free to all who want to subscribe. All About Brownsville is my small contribution to my hometown truly a great place to live, work and play. |
