While Scarecrow contestants are putting the finishing touches on their scarecrows, enjoy hot dogs, homemade ice cream and music on the courthouse lawn. Scarecrow judging begins at 5 p.m. You can vote for your favorite scarecrows, too. Sponsored by the Haywood County Master Gardeners.

Story Time at the Playground

Hottest Salsa Contest

Hot Salsa-Eating Contest
