The Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse
food pantry is empty. You can help fill it by participating in the Brownsville
Exchange Club Food Drive.
The food drive will be conducted throughout the month of
October to stock the pantry at the new Child Advocacy Center on Boyd Avenue.
The club is asking for donation of canned and boxed
non-perishable items. These food items will be given out to families in need
served by the center.
Drop-off boxes are located at the following locations:
States Graphic, Courthouse, Chamber of Commerce,
Dynametal, E. W. James, INSOUTH Bank, First South Bank, Wal-Mart, First State
Bank, Regions Bank, Parks & Rec., Crye-Leike Real Estate Specialists,
Lasco, Haywood Company and the Child Advocacy Center.
Needs list are available at each drop-off location to
assist you in selecting appropriate food items.
The community will also have an opportunity to drop-off
food items during the Hatchie Fall Fest on October 20. Look for the Exchange Club
booth.
Any donations made after the pantry is adequately stocked
will be taken to The Mustard Seed for distribution to other families in need.
