Friends of the Library Annual Meeting

The Friends of the Elma Ross Public Library will hold their annual membership meeting Tuesday, February 13, at 6 p.m. A light buffet will be served to members for $7 per person.

The special guest and speaker for the evening is Harry Lee “Hal” Poe. Poe is the Charles Colson Professor of Faith and Culture at Union University. He has authored, edited or contributed to more than 25 books. Poe will be speaking on his book “C.S. Lewis Remembered: Collected Reflections of Students, Friends and Colleagues.”

Friends memberships start at $5 per person, however, a suggested contribution of $25 is requested to help provide children’s reading programs, books on tape, large print books and the best seller book subscriptions.

Friends of the Library membership/contribution forms are available here, at the library or may be picked up at the door Feb. 13. Contributions may be mailed to the library at 1011 East Main St., Brownsville, TN 38012.
