What would
a festival be without entertainment? Lots of entertainment!
Well,
that’s just what’s planned for this year’s Hatchie Fall Fest, October 20. And
boy do we have a line-up. Beginning at 9:45 a.m., with an opening ceremony and
going well into the night, local and regional entertainers will take the stage
at hour and half-hour intervals. Whether you like country, rock, blues or
gospel, there will definitely be something you will enjoy.
Beginning
the line-up and performing at 10 a.m., is the SYS Football Cheerleaders. The
Haywood High School Show Choir will follow at 11 a.m. They always put on a
great show. Ricky Reed and the Woodlawn Youth Choir will perform after that.
You’re
never too young to be a singing sensation, and Bailie McRae can attest to that.
Bailie is a 12-year-old from Decatur, Alabama. She has local ties and has
performed in venues throughout Alabama and Tennessee. She is on the lineup for
this year’s Mid-South Fair and will then share her voice medleys with Hatchie
Fall Fest attendees at 2 p.m.
No Haywood
County festival is complete without the soulful sounds of our own singing
fireman, David Smith. Smith, known far and wide for his powerful voice and
gospel renditions, will take the stage at 3 p.m., to perform everyone’s
favorite inspirational hymns.
ABLAZE
Drama Team, is back this year by popular demand at 4 p.m., and so is festival
favorite Blues Berry Jam. They’ll kick it up a knotch at 5 p.m. with great
blues and classic rock.
Cranking
it up even more and making their first appearance at the Hatchie Fall Fest,
KICKIN’ takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. Members of Kickin’ have been together for
many years and they bring a variety of musical selections that will rock us
into the night.
What fun
to dance the night away on the court square in downtown Brownsville!
