Leadership Haywood County 2010 Application Period Now Open

Applications for the 2010 Class of Leadership Haywood County are now available, according to Leadership Board of Trustees Chair Jo Matherne. Started in 1993 as a leadership development program for Brownsville and Haywood County, Tennessee, Leadership Haywood County is designed to heighten the awareness of community leaders, workers and volunteers about our strengths, weaknesses and opportunities as a community.

Persons selected for the program will spend some eight months learning about economic development, law enforcement, quality of life, education, and local and state government issues. Successful participants will also take their place among over 200 Leadership graduates to work towards a better Brownsville and Haywood County.

Tuition for Leadership Haywood is $350. Those interested in applying for the Class of 2010, may contact the Chamber of Commerce to pick up an application or print one here. The deadline for applications is July 31, 2009.
