Haywood County Citizens Join in National Tea Party Rallies
Haywood County citizens are coming together on
April 15, at noon, outside the courthouse in Brownsville, Tenn., to remind
government that they work for the citizens. Haywood County citizens who are
concerned about the direction our country is headed are organizing the rally.
It is part of a state and national movement of Tax Day Tea Parties on streets
around the country. The Haywood County Tea Party is a non-partisan event.
The organizers' purpose is to provide
residents an opportunity to have their voices heard and show they are not alone
in their concerns.
Attendees are being asked to bring a can of
“PORK” & Beans to the rally as a show of dismay about the wasteful spending
in government. The collected canned goods will be donated to local churches.
Other Tea Parties will take place in
Nashville, Memphis, Somerville, and over 300 cities across America.
