HAYWOOD PARK COMMUNITY HOSPITAL ANNOUNCES NEW CEO

Haywood Park Community Hospital announces the appointment of Jeremy Gray as chief executive officer effective today. Gray replaces David Rasmussen, who had served as the facility’s CEO since September 2008 but who is pursuing other opportunities.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join the dedicated employees and medical staff at Haywood Park,” Gray says. “I am eager to build on prior accomplishments to help bring future success, and look forward to being an integral part of the Brownsville community.”

Gray comes to Haywood Park from Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville, Tenn., where he served since 2007 as Assistant CEO. Before that, Gray served in administrative roles for health care companies in Franklin, Tenn., and Birmingham, Ala. Gray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Science degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

“We are pleased to welcome Jeremy to Haywood Park,” says Sheriff Melvin Bond, chairman of the hospital’s board of trustees. “We are fortunate to have a health care executive joining us with the experience and desire to work with our board, physicians and employees to build on the hospital’s positive momentum.”

Haywood Park Community Hospital, a 62-bed facility, has more than 100 employees. Specialties represented by physicians at the facility include cardiology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, nephrology, orthopedics, podiatry and urology. The facility offers both inpatient and outpatient services including 24-hour emergency care, imaging services, general surgery, a gastroenterology laboratory, physical therapy and more.
