Denim and Diamonds is the theme of the Eighth Annual Dinner and Auction to benefit the Haywood County Carl Perkins Center. This year’s event is planned for 6 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Wyatt Duke National Guard Armory. Tickets are $75 per couple or $300 for a table of eight. The price of the ticket includes a catered dinner and the opportunity to bid on numerous items donated by area businesses and industries. Men are encouraged to wear denim jeans with boots and a tuxedo or suit jacket and women wear denim skirts or jeans with your best sparkly top and dress shoes. All proceeds benefit the programs of the Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Haywood County.
