UT Extension offers free diabetes management class
Dining with Diabetes returns to Haywood County!
This four-session class teaches diabetics (and their
caretakers) about disease management through meal planning. Each session will
include information from a registered dietician and plenty of recipe sampling
from UT Extension.
The sessions will run from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday
evenings, beginning October 23. Classes are provided at no charge to the
participants through the Healthy Communities Access Program, administered
through Le Bonheur Community Outreach.
All diabetic participants will receive free health
screenings on the first night of the class as part of the program.
Everyone must register before the class begins by calling
772-2861.
