United Way Campaign kick-off September 15

Local United Way board and cabinet members are busy planning for another successful Haywood County campaign. “We’re eager to have a great campaign,” said Campaign Co-Chair Will Jones, “and we know we can count on support from the whole community.”

The campaign kick-off is planned for 7 a.m., September 15, at Haywood Park Community Hospital. Everyone is invited to attend and be a part of this effort.

United Way funds help support 22 agencies in Haywood County and allow you to designate where your money goes. Agencies must submit an application including a budget to United Way and local volunteers review and interview each agency before making a final decision about funding.

Haywood County United Way Board and Cabinet includes Gary Pettigrew, Hope Cannon, Alan Callery, Will Jones, Jackie Collins, William “Sonny” Howse, Sonia Outlaw-Clark, John Finn, Danny Dean, Veronica Poke, Angella Palmer, Regie Castellaw, Donnie King, Franklin Smith, Bob Bond, Darlene Knox, Sunny Mahajan, Ricky Reed, Anne Banks, Carolyn Flagg and Joe Ing.
