Are you ready
to be busy for the next week or two? Lots of community events planned and
certainly you will find something exciting to do when you browse the
calendar. Check out the Yard Sale/Fish Fry info on April 21. Deadline to get
involved is today, so you might want to hurry. Do you have a community event
to add to the calendar? Tell me about it. While there are
lots of opportunities to eat out in the coming weeks, take an evening and try
this Tex-Mex Meatloaf at home. Remember to e-mail me one of your recipes to share with fellow All About Brownsville
readers. I know you have
noticed all the blue ribbons around town signifying April as Child Abuse
Prevention Month. In observance of this, the Carl Perkins Center is asking
you to wear blue on Monday, April 16, and to join them on the courthouse lawn
at 5:15 p.m., for the annual Candlelight Vigil. Wondering what you have blue
to wear? For a $15 donation to the center, you will receive a blue t-shirt
with the Wear Blue logo. Call the center for details, 772-8378. You can also
join them Saturday night, April 14, for the annual Crawfish Boil at the
Country Club (more details below). Okay, what has
happened to the Kreme Kastle pig? Have you noticed that it is gone? I hope this
local landmark is soon a part of our county museum. Or, better yet, is off
being refurbished and will soon be back on its original perch. ~ Sonia |
