Volume 3, Issue 26

Hope your 4th of July holiday was a good one and you enjoyed some good eats. If you did, share your recipes with us. E-mail your recipes.

It’s been a few weeks and I thought I’d give you an update on packing up my office. I finally have everything out of there. (Whew, I didn’t think I’d ever get through.) Remember this is a 6x10 room that was once a Butler’s Pantry. Just when I thought there wasn’t much more, I packed seven more boxes. Final count – 30! And yes, I had more packed away in that little space than anywhere else in the whole house. The only rooms left to pack up are a few clothes in the bedroom, bathroom essentials and the kitchen. All those things that will have to wait until the last minute and then … all that unpacking to look forward to.

Congratulations to William Nunn. He has just graduated from the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences. Read more about William Nunn ….

Homemade hamburgers are the specialty of the new Scooter’s Restaurant located on the corner of Dupree and North Washington in the former Sugar Palace building. Scooter’s opened yesterday and is owned by Chris and Debbie Coburn.
