Recipe of the Week: Peach Cobbler

Are you ready for the Horse Show? Walking Horse Champions from all around the world will be here. If you haven’t done so, make plans to be at the East Side Arena on East Jefferson Street tonight. But don’t get so wrapped up in the show that you forget to eat. The Exchange Club works really hard each year to provide concessions and all the proceeds benefit the Carl Perkins Center. Show starts at 6:30 p.m.

The 2nd Annual Kid’s Day is coming up this week. The chamber sponsored the event last year and received a remarkably good response. This year promises to be even bigger and better, and it’s been moved to Volunteer Park. Everything is FREE, so take the kids on out from 10-4 and have a good time.

Not to put a damper on anything, but it’s only 3 more weeks until school starts. I’ve been out of school for 26 years and the summers still fly by too fast.

A few vendor booths are still available at this year’s Hatchie Fall Fest October 20. A 15x15 space is only $30. If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, print a Vendor Application here.
