Recipe of the Week: Homemade Frosties It may seem like October is a long way off, but as always, it will be here before we know it. The Hatchie Fall Fest committee has been working since January on this year’s event and as activities begin to take shape, we will be keeping you informed and up-to-date as much as possible. Vendor spaces are still available and sponsors and volunteers are needed. Check out the schedule, learn about sponsor opportunities and see some of the entertainment lined-up so far. Entry forms for the Scarecrow Contest are available and other contest forms will be soon. Go here for the most up-to-date info. Another movement underway is “Haywood Movement.” This is an effort to bring activity back to downtown on Saturday mornings. Designed to offer an area for exercise and where kids can ride their bikes, skateboards and such, a Farmer’s Market, booth space for businesses and other vendor types, and an opportunity for health fairs and educational activities. If you are interested in participating or just want more info, please print and return this form. It’s Healthy Kid’s Day at the YMCA this Thursday morning. If you get a chance, stop by check out all the booths. As promised, here are a few pictures from my recent trip. ~ Sonia |
