Volume 4, Issue 14

Here’s the correct link to the All About Brownsville Blog. Sorry, I goofed last week. Take a look and then tell me what’s on your mind.

The HHS Class of 1963 is planning their 45th Class Reunion. It will be held Saturday, June 28, at College Hill. If you are a member of this class, please send your address changes to Ann Duvall Harrell. I understand this class has been meeting every five years since its 25th reunion.

Don’t forget Flocked for a Cure is still going on. I’ve been seeing the pink flamingos popping up all around town. The Insouth Bank Relay for Life fundraiser will last through April 30, so hurry and get your reservations in to flock a friend. Cost is only $10. Call 731-772-8629.

Word has it that our 1175th may be coming home soon. In anticipation of this and in an effort to show our pride and support of this unit, the Brownsville Family Readiness Group is asking the community to help them “Welcome our Soldiers Home” by purchasing a flag that will line their route home. Flags are $20 and can be in memory or honor of someone, if you like. Here’s an order form and more info.

Last night Leadership Haywood County presented this year’s graduating class at a banquet in their honor. The graduates are Mae Bufford, Rita Hathcock, Diane Hooper, Katherine Horn, Natalie Lane, Steve McCool, Harrell Nation Jr., Nick Nichols, Becky M. Overton, Janice Reed, Chad Ross, Bob Scifres, Bob Nolan, Kathleen Walker and Stephanie Barnes. Congratulations!
