Volume 4, Issue 16

Today is Child Abuse Prevention Day in Haywood County. Do you have your t-shirt or lapel pin on?

The UT Extension Service recently graduated seven members of its 2008 Master Gardener class. Congratulations to these gardeners! Here's a picture of the class.

April is fast coming to a close, but there are still a lot of things happening before the 30th. Here are a few reminders.

Don't forget the Sales Tax Holiday this weekend.

It's not too late to enter your children or grandchildren in this weekend's Hatchie Pageant. Register at the door (Ann Marks Performing Arts Center), get an application online or call 731-772-3356. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life. The pageant is sponsored by Crestview Healthcare.

If you haven't sent those famed pink flamingos to flock a friend (or enemy), you're running out of time. Call Insouth Bank at 772-8629 before April 30. Cost is $10 and all proceeds are for Relay for Life.

Just a six days left to purchase a flag that will help line the way home for our 1175th unit, who hopefully will be returning sometime in May. Go by First South Bank and pick up an application or print one here.

There's still a few openings in the Dining with Diabetes class being offered at the UT Extension office. You must pre-register, call 772-2861.
