Celebrate Groundhog Day by taking in the hand-clapping
toe-tapping performance at College Hill Saturday night. Brownsville is
blessed with an abundance of talented people and some of the best local
musical talents will be putting on their best for “A Brownsville Homecoming.”
I hear tickets are scarce, so don’t depend on getting them at the door. Go by
Livingston’s or Insouth Bank now before they’re all gone. Just doesn’t seem like Election Day is Tuesday, but it is. If
you didn’t vote during early voting, remember to get out and cast your
ballot. And if you are not sure where you should vote, call the election
office, 772-1760, before Tuesday. The Hatchie Fall Fest committee will begin planning for the
October 18, 2008, festival Monday evening. If you are interested in
volunteering for our annual festival and would like to serve on the
committee, please call me, 780-5144, or come to the National Guard Armory
Monday at 6 p.m. This is a community event and takes a lot of volunteers -
everyone’s help is welcome and needed. Haywood County Relay for Life team members are giving away a
great Valentine’s Basket as a fundraiser this year. The basket is loaded with
lots of goodies, such as DVD player, teddy bear, lotions, food and lots more.
Take a look and then contact a
team member for your chance to win it. ~ Sonia Share your upcoming 2008 events |
