& Haywood County June 13, 2008 Volume
4, Issue 23 |
|
Tonight beginning at 5 p.m. – Haywood County Relay for
Life at the football field. Relay is one of the premier events of the year.
Don’t miss it. And speaking of the football field. Have you ever seen
anything come down so fast? I’m talking about the visitor-side bleachers that
were torn down last week to make way for new ones. It was a definite case of
“now you see it, now you don’t.” Don’t forget that the city elections are this Tuesday,
June 17. The county election is coming up in August and promises a couple of
interesting school board races. Since my move, I’ve had to familiarize myself
with a new voting district. Sometimes it gets especially confusing when you
are in one city ward and another county district. So, I thought with the
school board elections coming up that involves both city and county, you may
want to take a look at where the district lines are drawn and who your school
board representative is. Other election info is included, too. Download the pdf file. Very interesting program coming up Monday at the
Library. Meet living historian Bryce Chandler who will talk about the life of
a drummer boy during the Civil War. Learn more here. If you have an event coming up between now and July 11,
please enter it here before June 18.
After June 20, I will be on vacation and have limited access to updating the
website, so please get your info in now to be sure everyone knows about it. ~ Sonia Join the Conversation: AAB Blog |
