Don’t forget the Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow at Volunteer Park. Who wouldn’t like for someone else to do the cooking for Easter? Antioch Baptist Church can help with the desserts. They are hosting a Stay-At-Home Bake Sale that began Wednesday and goes through April 9. See details below and order your cakes and pies soon. This is a Relay for Life fundraiser. Congratulations to our own Brownsville Utility manager Regie Castellaw. He was recently named president of the West Tennessee Industrial Association (WTIA). If you’ve wanted to speak your mind about healthcare in our county,
now’s your chance. Oklahoma State Department of Health and the OSU Extension
Service are partnering with the recently formed Haywood County Health
Committee to study the impact of healthcare in our community. Part of this
study involves you. They will be conducting a phone survey the week of April
19-25. So if you receive a call, please take a few minutes to answer the
questions and answer them honestly. Your answers will be completely
confidential. The goal is to get your input for an accurate need assessment
and to help give direction for the future planning of healthcare in Haywood
County. Holy Week services are planned each day next week. The theme is
“Witness to the Crucifixion: The Faces of Those Surrounding Jesus During Holy
Week.” Go here for a complete schedule
of locations and more information. While looking over the calendar below you’ll notice it is way long.
I’m planning a little “Spring Break” next week and didn’t want you to miss
out on anything. All About Brownsville will return April 17. But in the meantime
you can always check out the online calendar to keep up with what’s
happening in Brownsville and Haywood County. Happy Easter!! ~ Sonia Join the Conversation: AAB Blog List your Community Event here! |
