& Haywood County January 2, 2009 Volume
5, Issue 1 |
|
I’m back a week early. I did not have all the details about the
upcoming State of the School address by new Director of Schools Marlon King
when I last wrote and I thought it important that you know about this. It
will be interesting to hear what King has planned. See Monday, January 5
(below) for details. I’m also sad to hear that Doris Battle has resigned from her
position with the school system. Doris has been with Haywood County Schools
for 25 years. She leaves to take a position with the Shelby County School
System. I wish her the best of luck. The local churches are presenting a concert by the Christian group
Avalon next Friday evening at Christ Church on Anderson. Everyone is invited. If you’ve sent your 2009 events to me and still haven’t seen them on
the website, please be patient. I am still working on the updates. If you
haven’t, please use the Community Event form to let me know about your
event. Happy New Year! ~ Sonia Join the Conversation: AAB Blog List your Community Event here! |
