Volume 5, Issue 39

Yes, It’s Friday. I know you were expecting your AAB newsletter yesterday, but I seem to be a little behind this week.

The 6th Annual Hatchie Fall Fest was a huge success. I hope you were among the 5,000 or so who braved the cool (okay, it was cold) weather to come out and hear some great entertainment and shop with the vendors. We have one more festival event tomorrow and if you have little girls who are interested in pageants, I hope you will join us at Ann Marks Performing Arts Center for the Miss Hatchie Pageant.

Halloween is almost upon us, isn’t it? If you have children, or grandchildren, 10 and under and want a safer alternative to house-to-house trick or treating consider “Trick or Treat with Me.” This is the second year Brownsville merchants have offered this event that will be held Friday, October 30, from 4-6 p.m. There are 18 businesses participating this year. Plenty of places to take the kids for traditional trick or treating without all of the worries. A list of participating merchants is included in the calendar below. And be sure to thank them for this service. Last year was a blast and I know this year will be just as much fun, or more.

Don’t forget about the Marla Angotti Memorial 5K/10K race on the 31st. And several area churches have special events for the children planned, too.

I can’t end this newsletter without telling you about some very special people who were honored at last night’s Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet. Congratulate these people when you see them and tell them how much we appreciate all they do for our community.
