Volume 5, Issue 40

It’s the day before Halloween and I know a lot of kids are beginning to get excited about all the candy and trick or treating. If you have little ones, please bring them out tonight to the Trick or Treat with Me event. Twenty businesses are participating all over town. Here’s a list and more details.

Lots of churches are planning events for tomorrow, so check them out in the calendar below. Saturday is also the date for the Marla Angotti Memorial 5K/10K Race.

Don’t forget that Day Light Savings Time ends Sunday, so set your clocks BACK Saturday night before going to bed.

VIP Jackson Magazine is doing a big spread on Brownsville in November. It’s scheduled to be on the stands towards the end of next week, so be sure and pick up a copy. It’s free and will have pictures from the Hatchie Fall Fest, plus lots more about our community.

Good news about the Park of Dreams. Construction will begin in about a month and hopefully be finished shortly after the first of the year. Hayden Hooper and her committee have worked really hard the last three years, or so, to make this all-inclusive park a reality.

Rotary Pancake Day is coming up Tuesday and three local merchants are having Christmas Open House next weekend.

And go ahead and mark your calendar for November 13-15 and the 2nd Annual Holiday in Haywood Shopping Event. Go to http://www.shopbrownsvilletn.com for more details.
