Tax Day! I barely made it. Got everything in the mail
yesterday. If you wait until the last minute like I do: time’s up! So, on to better subjects. Like food. If you missed the Boston Butt sale this past week, here’s two more opportunities to purchase one. The Brownsville Bulldogs baseball team is now selling them for $25 each. Call 779-1130 for pick-up April 30 at Backyard Barbecue. Haywood High School baseball team's "Home Run Club" is having a Butt Sale fundraiser for Memorial Day. To place orders ($25 each) call Katherine Baggett at 731-780-3243. Pick up date is Thurs. May 27. Have you been by Volunteer Park lately? The Park of
Dreams is looking great. Mark your calendar for Friday, May 7, at 10 a.m.,
for the official Ribbon Cutting. Hayden Hooper and her committee have worked
really hard to make this park a reality. Congratulations to them on a job
well done. Be a part of the big YMCA Kentucky Derby Party May 1, by getting your tickets now. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold ($30 ea.). Call the YMCA for more details or check out the May Community Calendar. All of this is a part of the On the Town annual fundraiser the Y conducts each year. Get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend. ~ Sonia Join the Conversation: AAB Blog |
