Peace, Love and Happy Children. That's the theme of Saturday night's dinner and auction to benefit the Carl Perkins Child Abuse Prevention Center. Call 731-772-8378 if you don't have tickets yet. More details below.

You will be glad to know that, barring any unforeseen happenings, I plan to work on updating the calendars and getting the rest of the year listed on the All About Brownsville website this weekend. There are lots of events planned through the end of the year and I just haven't had a chance to sit down long enough to get them posted. Every time I have planned to do this something has come up, so, just in case, please don't hold me to it.

I'm loving the warmer weather and longer days and am willing to make the sacrifice of an hour this Saturday night to get to see more daylight. Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, so don't forget to set those clocks up an hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

Don't let the end of the month slip up on you before you get your entry form in for the Chamber art contest. For more details and an entry form, contact the Chamber at 731-772-2193 or drop by 121 West Main St. Entry forms must be turned in by March 30. Artwork due by April 30.

If you haven't voted on the wheel tax referendum, please make plans to vote Monday, March 15. Regardless of your stand on the issue, it's important that we all cast our vote.
